This is turn helps minimize the appearance of large pores and overall improves the tone and texture of the skin. By simultaneously tightening, toning, strengthening, and building the skin’s biological elixir of youth, collagen, horsetail is pretty magical in anti-aging formulas. It is rich in many nutrients including; calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin C.

history

Horsetail is one of the oldest plants on Earth and the high content of silicic acid makes this plant to one of the most extraordinary and valuable plants. It is used locally as a medicinal plant in Guatemala – Cola de Caballo – in teas and haircare. Its use has been recorded in Greek, Roman and Chinese cultures. In Guatemala, it is commonly used in shampoo formulations.
